Biography
Evangeline Gomez is Counsel to the firm Fahy Choi LLC. She was named as one of the top “40 attorneys under the age of 40”, by the New Jersey Law Journal, which recognizes the top 40 attorneys in New Jersey under 40 years of age. Ms. Gomez is an attorney who represents individuals in domestic and international family law matters in addition to small businesses, non-profits and tax-exempt entities in transactional and litigation matters.
Ms. Gomez regularly appears as a legal analyst and commentator on Fox News, Fox Business, HLN and MSNBC. She has appeared on Cavuto, Fox & Friends, Hannity, Lou Dobbs, Melissa Harris Perry, Money with Melissa Francis, Nancy Grace, Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell, Showbiz Tonight, and Studio B with Shepard Smith. Ms. Gomez has been quoted by The New York Times, Bloomberg News, Hispanic Business, TheStreet.com, Forbes.com and her articles have appeared in the Huffington Post. She served as a Contributor to Forbes.com, where she wrote about legal and policy issues affecting small businesses.
Ms. Gomez was recognized as a Woman of Distinction by the Passaic County Community College Foundation and honored for her professional success, extraordinary commitment to surrounding communities and for serving as a positive role model for students. Ms. Gomez, a Girl Scout alumna, also served as the the recipient of the Woman of Achievement Award for the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. The award is given to outstanding women who have had remarkable accomplishments in their lives and who serve as excellent role models for girls and future leaders.
Ms. Gomez serves on the Board of Trustees of Rutgers University. She served as the Chair of the Paterson Education Fund and a member of the Board of Trustees of Hyacinth AIDS Foundation.
Ms. Gomez graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Political Science and earned her law degree from Rutgers School of Law. While in law school, she was Articles Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, a legal journal. Ms. Gomez's work has included numeorus appeals, including a published decision, Division of Youth & Family Services of New Jersey v. D.H., 398 N.J. Super. 333 (App. Div. 2008). Ms. Gomez is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey. She is happily married to Robert, a partner at a law firm.
